Cookies
Legal Basis
The basis for the cookie notice is the amended Law on Electronic Communications (Official Gazette No. 109/2012; abbreviated as ZEKom-1), which came into effect at the beginning of 2013 and introduced new rules regarding the use of cookies and similar technologies for storing information or accessing information stored on the user’s computer or mobile device.
What are Cookies and Why Does the Website Need Them?
A cookie is a small text file that is transferred to the user’s computer when visiting a website and typically contains:
- the name of the server from which the cookie was sent;
- the lifespan of the cookie;
- a value – usually a randomly generated unique number.
The cookie itself does not contain or collect information. However, when read by the server along with the web browser, it can assist the website in providing user-friendly services—such as remembering previous purchases or user account data. Only the server that sent the cookie can use it.
On a trustworthy website, cookies can enhance the user experience. However, cookies can also be used in ways that intrude on individual privacy. Cookies may be stored for different durations, either for the duration of a browsing session or much longer.
Which Cookies Do We Use on the Site and Why?
We exclusively use cookies on the website that are allowed in accordance with the ZEKom-1 law. Only cookies necessary for the operation of this website are used. For tracking site visit statistics, we use a system that only records a session cookie and does not track your further behavior on the website or on other sites. By continuing to use this website, you agree to the use of the cookies described below.
